Otter Valley Counselling

& Therapy in Nature

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending”

– C. S. Lewis

Our daily lives are increasingly busy and complex, and sometimes we have to deal with problems and feelings that are difficult to endure by ourselves, yet hard to share with those that we love.

These problems can cause emotions that may leave us questioning our thoughts and feelings, in turn making our normal day to day life a constant struggle. During these times, being able to talk things through with someone outside of your family and friends can be the answer.

Counselling can be used as an aid to personal development and greater self-awareness, to help cope with a personal crisis such as bereavement, relationship issues or work-related stress. It can facilitate the exploration of difficult and painful experiences or be used to work with ongoing difficulties, like stress, depression and anxiety.

My name is Tracy and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I have a flexible and holistic approach in my way of working and tailor counselling sessions to suit the specific needs of the individual. I place high value on respect and understanding of your experience.

Rather than trying to change you my focus is on working through unresolved issues and conflicts and becoming more aware of our feelings and behaviours. My goal is to enhance your sense of wellbeing and ability to thrive and to provide you with techniques to do so.

Embarking on counselling may seem a daunting step to take, but for most people counselling can be a positive way forward
